Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Denver, Colorado

May 28th - May 31st

Hey Cool People!

So I have let another month go by with no new post, but I am back again, and this time with my adventure from Denver.

I haven't been to Denver in almost 15 years, so it was nice to revisit and experience Denver all over again. My good friend Kaitlin is considering relocating to the Denver area and had asked me to join her as she set out to see if it was a good fit for her.

We left out of MKE fairly early on Saturday, May 28th for Denver. When we arrived at Denver we got our bags and made our way to the car rental. We had booked one of the cheapest cars the rental company had, a small 2 door Hyundai. When we go to the counter, the nice woman helping us asked if I was used to driving a small car; I said no, so she offered to upgrade us to a 4 door Toyota for that same price. We got our keys and made our way to the parking lot to get our car. Guys .. our car was no car .. it was a minivan. The two of us, Kaitlin and I, had a freakin' minivan for the weekend. Well we decided to name the van Janice.

We left the airport and made our way toward Denver. Hungry we stopped at a popular brunch stop, Snooze. Would highly recommend this place. After chatting little bit with our server, she was nice enough to write down a few local spots to check out, including the Red Rocks, so after brunch that is where we went for a little hike.

The red rocks were ... well red ... but also breathtakingly scenic. Kaitlin and I hiked around for a couple hours before the heat caught up and we decided to head towards our hotel to check in. When we got to the hotel, we relaxed a little bit, planned out the next couple days and got ready for the night. At night we made our way to a local restaurant before heading out to South Broadway for a few drinks.

Skipping to the next day, Kaitlin and I hopped in our wonderful minivan, Janice, and made the drive to Boulder. Boulder was, simply, beautiful. We walked around CU-Boulder, before heading into downtown. It just so happened that we were in Boulder at the right time as the Boulder Creek Festival was going on.

Our final day in Colorado we made the trip to Breckenridge; ski country. The town was very cute! There wasn't much happening, but still a fun time.!
