Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Lucerne, Switzerland

Hey Cool People!

Last few days in Switzerland were spent in Lucerne. It rained most of the time we were there, so we didn't do too much. Here is what we did:

Day 121 Wednesday, September 16th - This morning we hopped on the bus to Lucerne. It was a fairly short bus ride; about an hour or two. When we got to Lucerne we had to walk about 20 min to our hostel, where we dropped off our bags before heading out for breakfast. We went to a bakery nearby to grab some breakfast food and sat by the lake for a little bit. It started to rain shortly after we finished eating, so made our way back to the hostel to check-in and take a nap. That afternoon, when we woke up, the weather had cleared up, so we walked around and did some shopping. We saw the Chapel Bridge, which is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe, made in 1333.

Day 122 Thursday, September 17th - Today we slept in a little. It rained pretty much all day. We went to the supermarket to grab a few snaps, made some nice Tomato soup and Grilled Cheese Toasties. That afternoon, when the rain let up a little, we walked around a little more and saw a few more sights.

Lion Monument to commemorate the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution as they protected King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
